This post is rather late, but Cornwall can be just as beautiful as the further away places I’ve been to. I spent a week there in October (before my Namibia tour) and was lucky enough to have fine weather most of the time. A few lovely sunny days and although other days were overcast there was very little rain. Below are images taken before, and just after dawn.
We took long walks and explored the area. Below is a tiny hamlet that had a real charm.
Very overcast skies make a dramatic image. We really do have some beautiful countryside in the UK.
There’s a lot of coastline in Cornwall, so water activities play a big part for visitors and locals alike.
A row of pretty cottages just had to be photographed.
Country walks.
Followed by a pub meal and local cider.
We stopped at a beach for a picnic lunch and this little boat was tied up there.
We were also joined by a very friendly robin who came within a couple of feet, looking for crumbs. The image below was just taken on my phone and the detail is incredible.
A wrong turn looking for a coastal path took us through a church graveyard. The lichen on this bench and tombstone was incredible, making them look furry.
Finally, this looks like sunset but was actually just after sunrise at 7.30 a.m.
So much history seems seeped in these imagines
Lovely images
Thank you Jeremy 🙂
